Elise Island played a major role in your existence in the 19th century? Your grandparents escaped the poverty and took the risk to settle in America. I have had the joy of finding many family records and reuniting people back to their ancestor’s places of birth. I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the excitement of those who for the first time – stepped onto to an old stone dwelling that their grate grandmother’s made olive oil with a press, or the rich red wines so famous in this region.
